I still have 21 snakes--still not enough room. The add on that the family's turtles, frogs, toads, lizards.....and cat....surely not enough room!

I used to do educational lectures with them-so I had way more than I wanted or needed but I still spoiled them all rotten. ^__^

Thats what I mainly do with mine....and I find my collection just keeps growing and growing.....it's one of those things you don't even realize!

I think it's also because they are such low maintenance pets-you don't think about it-until feeding day ^__^ (that's when I realize how much it's going to cost to feed them all! LOL! some are picky eaters too)

oh yeah! I just had that experience buying food for the year.....quite a pinch on the wallet! And I have one of those 'icky eaters' so her food costs twice as much since I have to buy it live from a pet store.......it hurts the wallet and the bank account but I think it's worth it overall

Yep I think it's more than worth it . My picky eaters are my hognose snakes--I have them eating some normal things like mice--but I have one that only eats fish and one that prefers toads and frogs. Toads and frog get pricey in the winter! and since they like to eat things like that-I have to buy expensive vitamins and minerals to add. Such is the life of a critter keeper.

yeah i bet that does get pretty expensive....luckily i only have one picky eater right now, and she's not so bad, she'll only eat live food, you can offer her dead prey using every trick in the book and she'll just starve herself, but the instant you drop a live one in, it's gone.
