Description
The first of a series of paintings done entirely on my iPad. Something in my head recently clicked when it came to applying the traditional painting techniques I studied during years of art training and professional work to working on the iPad (the app I primarily used is "procreate," which I've found gives a wonderful mix of traditional painting possibilities combined with digital tools). These paintings also use the techniques I learned in doing portrait art using reference photos rather than live models, which I've found works best for me when I want to achieve the best possible resemblance in the final work. This painting was done VERY quickly, in less than an hour. And for the curious, the earring that may appear on Megamind in some of these images marks him as a future version from my fanfic universe. It plays a part in the resolution of a story I have yet to tell.
