I sure do! I haven't really touched X/Y because of being in the final classes for school. Im up to gym 3, and i've never played 3rd gen either. But yeah I was a 90's kid, love pokemon.

Haha, that sounds kind of like me XD it took me forever to defeat XY cause I was distracted by so many other things.. >> Well, I was also EV training all my main pokemon, which took a lot of time too :0

Hoenn is probably my favorite region! I'd say emerald is worth tackling if you don't mind the older graphics. I'm also a 90's kid, so it was natural to get swept into it XD

Oh yeah I own third gen, I bought it like 3 years ago? I didn't buy it when it came out because I had no money as a kid and just never got a chance to get it. I finally sat down to play it last year and the internal battery died, so it kept glitchin out... I either have to find an emulator or just get the right screwdriver to open it and get a battery.

Ahh yeah, I know what you're talking about and it's a real bummer, because it happens with all the older cartridges. I very recently tried to play my original Crystal version, but because the internal battery was dead it couldn't save :\ I guess now I know what was originally wrong with my Blue version...
But an emulator is a solution, yeah. I have a DS sim on my computer, and it works just fine! The batteries on my 3rd gen games are also worn out, but they're not glitching like yours is. That's very strange... I'm pretty sure all that is effected is the night/day cycle (and possibly other things.. ). It's tricky to fix but it can be done. Using an emulator is probably the easier option XD;

I just prefer the feel of my handhelds conpared to an emulator /sigh

I'm kind of hoping they just start releasing them on the Eshop, that would be sweet.

For the 3DS? Hm yeah, that would be really nice. I'm not sure if they'd put in the effort to do that, though... The most likely is that they're going to release a remake of 3rd gen. Fingers crossed

That's actually been brought up in the anime. The pokemon basically controls who the fire burns. There isn't an explanation on the actual mechanic, but I know it all depends on if the pokemon trusts the person. Considering everything else in the pokemon world, it's believable enough to me XD
