Description
I got really bored one weekend and did the face of the fox...then...after a few painful months of it sitting in a folder on my desktop I decided to finish it. yay ^^Just a wee fox watching some sort of an entity with its evil red eyes...>.>

X3 It's too good to be true~ As everyone is saying, it's quite possible just a photo that's been blurred with a cheap Photoshop filter put in top. It's highly likely that it wasn't drawn at all.

I disagree. I think it is entirely possible for this to be original. People say to me all the time "Did you draw that from a picture?" as if I was incapable of creating it myself.
So I shall give this artist the benefit of the doubt. I think it was original.

Perhaps... Which is why I cover my tracks in an almost trollish way by saying "Highly likely" rather than "Is".
Though it does seem rather strange that they'd possess such artistical skill and then slap a lens flare over the top of it. It makes the whole image look a little off.

Heh, perhaps it was a rushed background? I don't feel that I draw very decent backgrounds myself. I tend to focus on the foreground, so my background suffers. XD Perhaps this piece was done in a similar way.

Ok the entitiy kinda looks like the sun, but if it is floating to the side of the front of the fox then the sunlight from the front of the fox would cancel the 'entity' light out. Therefore it is completely believable to be the atist's own work as they cuold have had this logial thinking or it could be random thinking 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
But i do agree, if this ISNT your own work than you should give credit, just saying.

From a first glance I thought that this was an actual photo, but the realized that it was in "digital art" so went to take a look at it. Then, under closer inspection I discovered it was digital. I had just thought that you used teh lens flare to be a sort of sun, only to read more about it and see that it was an "entity", which I don't think really goes well with the picture. Sure you could have done this all on your own, but I think, afrer reading all of the comments posted on this page that it might just be a paint over. I am sorry to say but I think that a artist would respect the boundries of light . I mean, the entity (as previously stated) seems to give off some form of light. The fox's shading shows no signs of this. Anouther thing to add to this is that none of your other deviations seem to have anything sort of style related to this one. If it is a paint over, please state it and give the cre credits to the original and its owner. Otherwise you are lying and breaking a copyright protection on anouther peice of artwork. I know this deviation is about 3-4 years old, but still I think the point is valid.

Did you paint this? If you did, it's beautiful! Sure the lens flare and stuff is kinda suspicious, but if you really did paint this, which it looks like you did when you look close, it's absolutely wonderful!

I'm not believing this for a minute, either. People who can truly paint like that wouldn't use a cheap filter effect like the lens flare, which is obviously what the "entity" is. If this was an original and not a photomanipulation, then it'd be clear you have a strong understanding of color relationships and lighting effects. Which means, as *Femaleclaws noted, you wouldn't have ignored the additional light source.
Furthermore, this is NOTHING like the other artwork in your gallery. I realize this was posted nearly a year ago, but if you want to be respected I'd recommend removing deviations from your gallery that aren't 100% your original artwork.
It's okay to do paint-overs to learn, but it's not okay to then display them and claim they are yours.

I'm sorry to say this but, it really looks photomanupilated, like you took the picture of a fox and used the smudge, blur and lens flare tool. Even if you DID do this from scratch, you could not have gotten the lightings wrong. Obviously, the "entity" is giving off some kind of light, near the back of the fox, not from its front.
