Description
"You should check the right arm. Again it was getting stuck midflight" the pilot said, as she left the Quedluun-Rau.
"Well, if you don't like it, go and fly a cursed micronian Valkyrie if that's so much of a bother" the zentraedi grow crew said annoyed, kicking a helmet in frustration.
The pilot was surprised at the violent reaction and looked at her wingwoman who raised her shoulders.
"Her whole squad deserted last week to the Zentraedi malcontents" she explained.
Character of a drawing his macross/Robotech OC Brenda, who is Zentraedi.
Wiki-attacks:
"Macross is a series of science fiction mecha anime, created by Shōji Kawamori of Studio Nue in 1982. The franchise features a fictional history of Earth/Humanity after the year 1999. It consists of three TV series, four movies, six OVAs, one light novel and five manga series, all sponsored by Big West Advertising."
however, most of the western world first get to know it as an independent and diferent serie:
"Robotech is an 85-episode science fiction anime adaptation produced by Harmony Gold USA in association with Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd. and first released in the United States. It was adapted from three original Japanese television series: Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross and Genesis Climber MOSPEADA"
both Robotech and Macross become sucsseful TV series, and up to today, they are running around the world, have extended universes and derivative movies, ovas and series:
Much of the fans or love Robotech and hate Macross or vice-versa, but I love both!
-except the latest Macross serie... that I'm afraid couldn't sit down to watch v___v-
"The Zentradi (ゼントラーディ人 Zentorādi-jin?) are a fictional, militastic race of alien, humanoid giants and often the main antagonist in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross anime series and its Robotech adaptation.
It is transliterated as Zentradi, Zjentohlauedy, Zentrady and Zentraedi for the Japanese Macross series, with the Zentraedi spelling being the one most used commonly in the Robotech adaptation. The Robotech novels and comics would add the occasional spelling T'sentrati. In both the Macross and Robotech universes, humans and Zentradi are capable of interbreeding due to being genetically equivalent. Physically, most of them also resemble humans, though some have unique skin and hair colors. Prior to their first encounter with the human race, all members of the Zentradi race were artificially created through cloning.
Male Zentradi are also called "Zentran", which means "male" in the Zentradi language. Also, Female Zentradi are called Meltrandi, the word "Meltran" meaning "female" as well. "

Never could get into the whole Macross thing. I've had my fill of giant robots fighting in space.

Yes! More Robotech/Macross! I love Meltrandis, even when they wipe out squadrons of Veritechs.
Do a MOSPEADA pic, please! (You draw a macross pic and now I get greedy, lol!) Of course that means the Cyclone Ride Armor.
I hear Robotech is immensely popular in the southern half of South America.

I love them too!
and yes, very true!
I remember once as a teen, we made a class trip to a military airfield, I almost laughed out loud seeing the names they had to the F-5 Tiger that back then the chilean army had:
"Skull Squadron" "VF-01" "Veritech" and so on. XD

Brings back memories of running a southern cross/malcontents campaign with the robotech RPG when I was in high school... Nice "slice of life" piece.

My always preferred was the war against the Zentraedi: second favorite, the Invid saga!

While I really enjoyed the dynamic between Rook and Rand, I really wish Dana Sterling made an appearance in the Saga.
When Rook first appeared after saving Scott, Rand, and Annie, both me and my sis thought she was Dana and yelled out, "YAY, DANA SURVIVED!"
Fortunately we later learned from the interwebs that Dana evacuated Earth rather than lose what remained of the Southern Cross outright to the Invid.

AH! As a kid, when I watched the show, I didn't knew they made it stitching together into a story with it's own narrative three different animes, so I kept hoping to the very end to see downed Zentraedi brecks in Earth, to see references in uniforms and characters, to see Rick Hunter return and all of that! XD
