Description
A long overdue contest prize for for placing second in my Nuzlocke mini contest!I was asked to draw Leroy the Arcanine that is based on a lion and I happily accepted. Even if I personally don't really know if I would go full-lion with Arcanine this was still great because I've been in the mood for some big felines for a while. I really enjoyed working on this even though it's been a while since I have done anything that even remotely resembles cell shading - and I still think cell shading isn't quite my thing after all - but it still came out fine.

Cell shading is a simpler way to shade and it creates a flatter look as opposed to more painterly rendered images. It's more cartoony but still conveys the essential sense of shadow and form. I hope that answers your question!
