Description
Another drawing for Nuzlocke Forums' "Draw Every Pokemon" project, this time it's Pidgeot. I thought I'd post this here, too, because I like it.I wasn't supposed to draw this but because the person who had claimed Pidgeot cancelled I claimed Pidgeot and drew it. I really like Pidgeot and drawing birds is always so much fun.
PTSai doesn't have a circle tool of any kind so the sun's rays are a bit derpy.
Anyway, I hope you like it! :>

The "light ball" is called lens flare. It's there simply as an extra special effect. I didn't do the best job executing it, it probably doesn't work exactly like this but I'd imagine if you took a shot of a bird like this you could get this effect in our photo.

IMO best non-legendary bird there is! I always had this guy on my team.

Very nice~ I love how you did the feathers (especially the little half-feathers. The noticable length difference is something a lot of artists forget) and the shadow under the wings. Really lovely to look at~ X3
The sun rays thing may be sort of derpy but they look really good when the pic in the thumbnail form; makes this pic pratically look like a photo.
Seriously, you out did yourself on this one~

Pidgeot! One of the few bird pokΓ©mon that just scream "I AM AWESOME!" Pretty cool job on the hair, but meyba you should draw the feathers on the wings less detailed and make them more of a group. Right now due to each of them being drawn separately (copied over, I take? That's no shame ) the wings don't seem all that solid anymore. I like what you did on the chest better, for the wings you should find something in between the chest and what you have now. The lens flare seems pretty believable to me, perhaps a few more colours in there would have improved it more.

Pidgeot indeed is a very awesome Pokemon. There is just something that really makes him stand out of all the bird pokemon.
I'm a sucker for details and I personally prefer the wings and the feathers the way they are now. I see your point, though. Also, I don't use the "copy-paste" method in digital drawing even though I could. I think that's just cheating although sometimes it may come in handy. I drew each feather separately and I actually enjoyed it.
You're right about the lens flare, though. I should've used a few more colours.
Anyway, thanks for the comment!

"Consider it cheating", well you just called a lot of great artists cheaters I kinda see your point though, Rubens didn't have a copy paste tool (then again, he had an atelier with assistants, he only did the big projects and the signing after a while
) I know you love details but sometimes it is better to suggest them then to draw them really hard defined. Take a look at Daniel Dociu's and Kekai Kotaki's artwork (the art director and lead artists from Guild Wars 2). Their speedpaints are very detailed, yet by avoiding hard lines etc they make the details form a whole. Anyway, you're welcome. Want some concrit, knock on my door

I didn't call anyone a cheater. I know that a lot of artists use that method and I have absolutely no problem with that. You don't necessarily even notice some things might've been copied over. Also, some things like ornaments and the likes will most likely look better if they're copied over so I could say it depends on the picture. I just personally don't prefer to copy over things, and in a drawing like this I appreciate it more if the details are drawn separately.

Pigeot is one of my favorite pokemon; this picture reminds me of my Pigeot on my Firered Nuzlocke. It's absolutely amazing! The perspective is great and the coloring and shading is also phenomenal. I think I'm in love with this.

I forgot to say that this is absolutely amazing! I just love the perspective that you used. It's really different from anything that I've seen! And i think it's totally okay to exaggerate the hair-thing. Artistic license~ XD
