Description
I decided to take part in 's Pokemon Community Collaboration project (Gen1) and I got Psyduck. It's a fun little Pokemon, not a favourite but very nice and simple to draw - just what I wanted, actually.There are still a few Pokemon that need to be drawn so if you're interested in contributing check out this journal.

Psyduck as a platypus makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE!!! That explains the mammalian-ish tail and the lack of wings ...

Definitely more a platypus than a duck. The anatomy and the way Psyduck moves just isn't right for a duck and it also evolves into Golduck that's anything but a bird.

That's because it's based on a platypus. A regular duck wouldn't make sense for Psyduck for several reasons.

As for the original question, I don't know if it would make much sense for Psyduck to be venomous by default, but as it does learn Toxic via TM I think Psyduck that master the move can use "platypus venom", or Toxic, to attack its foes.Β
