It was early afternoon on a sunny Racks view day as Claire and Tina-Lee were strolling down one of the many streets in the shopping district on their way to Excellence to pick up new costumes for work. Rounding the corner the women continued on oblivious to the fact they had just walked into a battle between Shadowhawk and a member of the Villains guild. Observing the pair talking as they ventured into the fight zone Shadow dispatched a pair of Combat drones to protect the pair of civilians from harm. Seeing the Drones heading their way Claire was the first to react and quickly turned around and as she was attempting to drag a panicked Tina-Lee out of the area the pair was quickly surrounded by the drones and led into a building alcove where the pair protected them from harm until the battle was over.

As the battle wrapped up, Shadow was preparing to recall the drones from protecting the women that had stumbled into the area when he paused and took a closer look. Zooming in with his helmet optics he paused as a flood of past emotions and memories filled his head. Days of his youth long forgotten assaulted him as he approached the startled and apprehensive women. Stopping short of them he took a moment to as he remembered the curves and contours hidden by her dress.

"Greetings Miss Dawkins, I apologize for interrupting you and your friends afternoon, but I couldn't let you continue down the street." He said in greeting.

Still startled by the action she had just witnessed and thrown even further into confusion when Racks View Gentlemen Villain addressed her by name, she could only stare as she responded, "Tha...thank you ... We did ... didn't see the fighting until it was too late, but how do you know my name?"

"Ah ... well I know a great deal about you Claire, for instance I know all about your summer fling with a certain little spitfire that worked with you at the pool. I know about your problems with the male students your first year of school, I even remember that time when we ..." Realizing that he had just revealed more than he had planned.

Shadow bowed slightly to the ladies and turned away taking his drones with him and leaving Claire even more shaken that he knew such intimate details of her life. Struggling to come to grips with secrets of her past being revealed, she ran through the people in her past that could possibly know all of those details and came up with only one name.

Shakily Claire took a step towards the retreating armor clad figure and spoke softly in his direction, ..."Roy?"

She watched transfixed as the figure paused slightly and turning his helmet slightly, nods. "I used to be a long time ago, but that man is dead now, only Shadowhawk remains." Turning away slowly he resumes his path back to his assembled drones. Standing in the door way of the transport Shadow turns and facing Claire and gives her a slight bow and a hand flourish that Roy used to give her, turns and disappears into the transport as the door closes and it lifts off and is quickly lost in the mid day sun as it flies out of sight.

Claire is broken from her thoughts by the excited voice of Tina-Lee, "You know who Shadowhawk is?! Do you know how much money that is worth?"

Looking down at her diminutive sized friend she sighs and shakes her head, "No I know the man he used to be ... Not who he is now." Lost in her thoughts as they continue their trip towards Excellence Claire wonders what could have happened to Roy that could have caused him to become who he was today.
