One of my relatives suggested my reading the Temeraire novels by Naomi Novik, knowing my love of dragons he also suggested the need for some illustrations of the dragons in the books, and I thought that would be fun to do

I finished the first of the books "In His Majesty's Service" not too long ago and at the end of the book there is a short description of some of the different breeds of dragons and their sizes by one of the characters in the book who made a study of them, Sir Edward Howe. I decided to do my own size refrence for a few of the different species for future use when drawing more of them.

I didn't get too detailed with scales and coloring as mostly just wanted to show the size differences and scale compared to something from real life ( I used the Indian Elephant as that is what Sir Edwards uses as a refrence for size) the Celestial is crouching a bit, and would be close in hight to the Regal Copper if standing up fully.
