Description
One of my relatives suggested my reading the Temeraire novels by Naomi Novik, knowing my love of dragonsI finished the first of the books "In His Majesty's Service" not too long ago and at the end of the book there is a short description of some of the different breeds of dragons and their sizes by one of the characters in the book who made a study of them, Sir Edward Howe. I decided to do my own size refrence for a few of the different species for future use when drawing more of them.
I didn't get too detailed with scales and coloring as mostly just wanted to show the size differences and scale compared to something from real life ( I used the Indian Elephant as that is what Sir Edwards uses as a refrence for size) the Celestial is crouching a bit, and would be close in hight to the Regal Copper if standing up fully.

I'm going to save this, if you don't mind. This is incredibly handy for mental comparison.

I don't even think lots of elephants would be able to feed them.
By the way, I just checked out Crucible of Gold from the library and I can't wait to read it!

The detail and thought you put into this is just fabulous! I like what you did with some of their markings, too!

That's kinda helpful. One of the weaknesses of those books is how vauge the author is about sizes, descriptions, and just how the crew hooks on to the dragon's rigging...
Oh, and artistically, interesting work with the transparencies.

This is very cool. You got your size references for dragons far better than I. I got bored of calculating and play it by ear.

good references, seems you got the sizes correctly, though I don't go too much into the technicality how big the dragons get
