so yeah. this is a sketch i did back in college. i was watching godzilla (the one where it's in new york) and came up with this. i always loved the glowy effect that godzilla always used when he was about to BBQ some asshole, but something that bothered me was that his spines looked more metal than anything else that would be transluscent enough to glow, so how to modify?
Have a series of "Vents" running along his back, and have the spines channeled or grooved so that the interior can glow. then for shit i added the jaw frills.

Above him is the Kiryu version that i just had to draw. come on, kiryu is the shit!

on the bottom is some ancient kaiju (that's japanese for "Giant monster") that he'd probably have to fight. something lion like i think. just messing around with the idea
