I was so excited for this event! I figured I had plenty of time to do it since it didn't have a set due date-Got back from a trip out of town and discovered it was OVER.

Needless to say I growled for awhile, got over it, and decided to finish and submit this anyway :3
Thankfully no shards were at stake, otherwise my growls would have evolved into a fullblown rampage lol.

Anyway!

I decided to focus my hand on yet another background heavy piece. Gotta practice my cubes and perspective *grumble grumble* Its really quite fun to draw 'Digimon style' backdrops tho since its alot of desaturated colors with little floaty spots everywhere XD
It just feels happy!
I also had a ton of fun creating the contrast between the battle-zones and safe space, mostly because it was neat to draw everything out all pretty like-then wreck it. XD

Anyway,
I wanted to create another image that showcases the diversity of character between Magi and Claire. I think the polarity of these two is what makes them so very fun and interesting for me to work with. Claire always gets lost in the little things, while Magi is more inclined to focus the big picture. As for Tyks (the hat) he is a gentle balance of the two. You get a very fine sense of that from this piece.

Also,
It's more of an Easter-egg, but if anyone recognizes the Digimon Claire is cradling in her arms, and knows what it eventually Digivolves into-You get a cookie.
I love giving obvious hints to subtle things just to get my watchers thinking. Cause heaven knows I over think everything.
