Description
As promised, here is the explanation for Magi and Tyks descent into their Dark Digivolution.
I will try and keep the story brief so that it compliments the image as an easy read~

The Story thus far
Claire and Magi were among the first to arrive on the scene. Things were quickly falling out of hand as the hoard of rogue Digimon continued to assault the city with relentless force. Desperate to quell the conflict, Magi and Tyks ascended to their Ultimate form, banking on their powerful abilities to keep the combatants at bay. As time wore on, more and more enemy Digimon arrived, their numbers swelling as they surged onward with malicious intent. It was then that hundreds of Tamers burst onto the scene, their Digimon quickly evolving before running headlong into the fray.
The rogues welcomed their arrival, as if it was their intent to lure them there.
Moving as a single unit, the rogues turned all their attacks on the new arrivals, focusing their forces on slaying the Digimon one by one. Harsh screams and haunting echoes engulfed the field as both the Tamers and their Digimons dying cries became one massive thrall as their partners faded away.
Mortified, Claire called to Magnusmon, shouting at him to withdraw. But as his remaining allies fought onward, Magnusmon refused to abandon them, and for the first time ever, he turned away from his Tamer. Even when her calls gave way to pleas, Magnusmon still refused to leave their side.
Desperate, Claire used her Digivice to siphon Magnusmons strength, forcing both Magi and Tyks to revert to their Champion form.
Cut off from their advanced abilities, they were forced to face her- their gaze crestfallen and betrayed as their friends continued to disintegrate all around them.
Still, they refused to withdraw.
Determined to save her partners, Claire ran through the chaos to their side, avoiding Magi’s gaze as tears fell from his eyes.
Taking his hand, Claire led them away from the fallen bodies and wailing cries.
Having reached the borders of the battle, an abrupt flash of light tore Claire away from them, as a searing fire struck her from behind.
As she collapsed at Magi’s feet his tears of pain turned hot with rage, and a seething red agony engulfed him…Twisting both his body and Tyks into one.

I love playing with irony ^u^ Yes I do.
Basically, Claire's lack of faith in her partners led to their Dark Digivolution. Her fear of losing them forced them to risk losing her, and her lack of courage led fear to overthrow their ruling element of courage.

I've wanted to do a Narrative Scroll since I first saw one months ago in SoC ^u^
And as I generally lack the attention span to do a full comic, this proved to be the perfect medium.
