OTL I'm sorry this image suffers from a lack of direction..
*Focal Point? Iono whats that? Never heard of it*//shot

Anyway, here's my submission for the Shard event.
This image was finished the same week the event was announced, but due to insecurities and issues with naming Magi's newest form ~grumble grumble~ you get it now.

The giant fellow in the center with the mask is Povegilamon.
While I wasn't too awfully giddy over his design initially, this comment from sure got me thinking, but not for the reasons you may think.

"The ring around his arm is a piece of whats known as the 'judas chair' which was a torture device. [link] the rings were used to restrain the arms, and the chair itself was covered in spikes from head to toe.'

Now, it is stated in Poveglia's bio that he was born from the collective energy of all the souls who suffered on a particular island- [link]
And seeing a Judas ring THAT LARGE got me thinking about just how much pain it would take to create that much darkness. And it left me kinda sad..
Mostly because the strongest darkness can only be cast by a powerful light-meaning the agony from which this creature originated must have been pritty severe...

So I drew the Magismon attempting to reveal that light, whilst his copies set out to destroy the ring on Poveglia's arm.
Think of it as a metaphorical release from ones afflictions.

Anyway.. Threw in a few extra cheesy details since I can though they are subtle.

Iono where Claire is through all of this.
She's prolly cussing up a storm at Magismon somewhere in the distance while sipping on some Kool-Aid. lol
