My very first Sketchdump *sniffle* Will be scrapped at a later date

I always love it when artists upload a puddle of images they never liked or simply never intended to finish.
This is a mixture of both for me since the majority of the images never quite struck me as 'complete' or cohesive enough to share.

Regardless, I have numbered them so here we go!

1. I created these emote icons for Kel towards the end of SoC's first year. I have always been a huge fan of in game emotes because I am a glutton for emotional ques and subtle insecurities. While I am rather embarrassed by how out of character this chart feels now, it was at the time a worthy attempt at conveying a range of common emotions through Kel.

-To date I have remained to shy to make these commonplace in the chat channels, but I did get to bust out Kel's blushy face just once towards a particular SoC member who confounds his feelings greatly ^_^

2. I have a complete love/hate relationship with this character as I adore insectoids but hate mosquitoes XD. Thus, this was my attempt at lightly-humanizing character Z'akel. I gave his hair a pine-needle like quality as I cannot imagine anything physical about this character being squishy or soft. I also lifted his stinger into more of a brow and less of a nose, and gave his eyes some real depth. I'm curious to hear what Myth thinks of the overall effect.

3 Back in 2011 this was my first attempt at a redesign for Kel's attire. I knew he would be dying soon... and figured his clothes would not survive the fight. However, upon this images completion I realized I wasn't quite ready to let his skirt/shorts go-that and this image struck me as mildly pirate like. Thus code name 'Pirate Kel' was born scrapped.

4. V.01 of Specter Kel. When Specter first emerged in SoC Aealzx made it very clear we were to mask our character's features as well as possible. Well, that is remarkably hard to do when your character is a dog-man who glows in the dark, and Specters color scheme is blue when your character is orange. XD XD XD Anyway, I settled for taking the rules already in place for Kel and tweeking them to fit the set guidelines.

-Kel's neck and arms are adorned with Chroma-rings, a simple band that flips any color to its exact opposite. Thus his fires appear blue in his Specter attire.

-I designed Kel's attire to be white, since I wanted him to stand out like a phantom amidst all the black folks. I thought of him as the 'white reaper' of the group.

5. Created this wing and tattered wing reference for a to help her with a project she was working on with Emiris.

6. This is Gniisha's very first concept design!! Back in 2011 asked me to help her conceptualize Gniisha based on the both beautiful and deadly, blue ringed octopus-[link]
Based on all the images WH sent, Gniisha emerged with a slate blue color scheme and striking white anemone hair. While it wasn't bad, neither of us were completely satisfied.

7-9. After another attempt with a blue color schemed Gniisha, WH gave me the green light to go completely crazy free-style with her colors. With a more natural pallet geared towards the blue ringed octopus, both WH and myself get ridiculously excited as modern Gniisha emerged. We knew we had it right after HW added the subtle lavender to her tentacles and hair, a nice soft touch to a nice soft character.

10 As with most of my creations, I have an idea stuck in my head long before I ever get around to conceptualizing it. This is Kel beneath the curtains of Tarterros cape. [link]

-While this is not cannon, it was the first time I ever drew Kel in evident distress.
-It is also where the idea originated that his fire lungs would be an obvious weakness as they are prone to extreme hemorrhaging when punctured.

11. XD This was to be my submission to the Aviation Challenge, but I couldn't bring myself to actually submit it cause it looked sooo bad. and entries [link] and [link] got me thinking-what could be more absurd then balloons and a giant penguin? ...hmmm... How about a giant undead magma winged fire dragon from the depths of hell? XD XD XD Thus Kels ridiculous mount and this absurd image was born!!
