It has been a dream of mine to construct a reference sheet for a dragon since I first joined DA so many years ago.... *sniffle* I'm still chasing lost idols.____________________________________________________
^w^ Another fully conceptualized character from my Animation class, say hello to Aveil-the star character for my childish Animatic.
I've added alot to her design since then (namely colors lol) and am excited to finally see this completed.
I have always been a major-dragon-fan-nerd-massive-obsessed-freak-stalker and can say with confidence I know most if not all the major dragon artists here in the DA community. Because of this vast database I was careful to keep her design distinct so that I wouldn't feel scrutinized by my idols and peers.
Bright obnoxious blue 'neon blue' has always been my favorite color, but purple has moved up a significant deal since my beloved aunts passing. I used these two tones to construct her basic color scheme, and just had crazy fun from there.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy, please feel free to post queries if any. I think I would absolutely explode with joy if people grew to love her as ardently as I love my fellow dragon artists.

If you ever decide on a concept, I would be honored to attempt to draw it for you. I appreciate your praise, but most times creatures like this take me months to construct.. It makes me all sorts of aggitated that it takes so long cause I'm soo freaking anal.

in all honesty I wasn't focused too much on identifying gender. I said 'he' because that's what the others were saying. I was mesmerized by the pretty colors.
