Chapter 2 Mission 2 Monster RefSince the creatures were 'born' prematurely , you can still see the Miasma that went into creating them.
Striders are speed and agilityΒ based
Casters are magic based
Consumers are absorption based
Ravagers are power based Colors are constant and dictate the creatures class-
Yellow= speedblue= magicgreen= consumepink= powerCreatures vary in the degree of completion, while some are nearmost whole, others are missing large portions of their hide.
Each class has a different set of stats, so conditions will vary between encounters
Striders are relatively weak, but extremely hard to hit-Medium class-
+common+
Casters possess strong magic, but poor defense -Small class-
+common in clusters+
Consumers are only as strong as their assailants- they absorb all oncoming energy/attacks, and use it to hulk up their defense
-Average class-
+uncommon+
Ravagers are strong both offensively and defensivelyAttackiing in groups is advised
-Large class-
+rare+

The idea was that they were summoned to aid the planet before they were complete.
Thus the deep flushes of color you see throughout them are solidified pockets of Miasma.

I'm not sure there would technically be baby versions. Rift monsters originate from deep within Zion, and are acting on its behalf. Thus the hostility towards all the residents that are obviously hurting the planer by tearing it apart with war for their Gods.
So regardless of the size, they would all be hostile XDD
If u want further details tho I would definitely contact the admins.

they look all so epic sol !!! I mean ech one is so unique and fit so good to the theme >////< I am afraid to borrow the design and draw them. can i say i totally fellinlove with the consumer class when i first read the word consumer i was all liek OMG consumer sounds so big and fat and strong and massive and .... asiofhergdfbsef sorry i assosiate too much with it XDDD and i had to think of the gluttony sin of death ... ahh well.. i will for sure draw the consmuer xDD although i love the fragile speed class but ... come on CONSUMER xDDDDDDDDD

Thank you os very much for your kind words, it really was such a pleasure to work on this! Dea gave me alot of freedom, so it wasn't hard play around and have alot of fun with this ^v^
I love that you love the Consumer class! I normally shy away from stockier, more bulky creatures, but they proved to be some of the funnest designs to work on!
I also really enjoy their nature of using their opponents strength as their own defense. Lol it just sounds lazy for them, and exasperating for everyone else XDDD
One thing that has been really neat is to see how many people really love the Speed and Consumer class!
I created the Casters as an easy to draw medium for those who like simplicity, and Power as the end all bad@$$ class. But without fail, its the Consumer and Speed classes which are resonating and receiving the most love.
^w^ And that just makes me super happy!! I guess because I can't predict why lol

Sol, the beast concepts you come up with never cease to amaze me. I absolutely -love- the colors used, so bright and flashy and just overall fun to look at. xD I could play with them all day.... too bad they're hostile.

Wow, Sol, these are all so beautiful, I just... which ones to draw, I don't even know 8I The second speed class variation is so beautiful, I love how dainty it is... but I also adore the lithe, sinewy, sharpness of the power class.
And the first consume class variation reminds me vaguely of a penguin and I want to just sort of hug it and squeeze it like a large, dangerous, neon marshmallow.

Penguins are generally NOT at the top of my list...But as I was referencing the SoC image of the rifts, this guy just popped into my head and had to be drawn. ^v^ He strikes me as less antagonizing and more amused. Lol like a big evil Sants XDDD
I love the Speed class as well, they speak more to my lithe sensabilities, and power is just awesome. For once I just adore that pinkish/purple.
I cannot WAIT to see what you come up with for this event, every time you submit a new piece I smile like a doof at all of your beautiful advancements~<3

I've worked on a few sketches already, and let me say, I have fallen in love with the Speed class. They're similar to the big scaly reptiles that I usually draw, haha XD

What type of magic does the caster class use, though?

OuO They can cast any magic they've previously encountered.
The only difference is the color, all of their attacks reflect their vibrant blue hues.
Meaning their lightning would be blue, fire would be blue, water..lol XD Blue!
