And alas the first sonic pic I have fully completed since Techie's birthday, and what better way to have the these two here, the legendary Sonic the Hedgehog and of Course good ol SP ;DThis image actually is in fact part of the new header I'm making for my journal, as I actually intend to make it so I do more artwork by having a new image each time I post a new journal, meaning more art to show
Anyway hope you enjoy

Is it just me or is your style different? Maybe the edgey lines added for texture? I don't know. Looks great though. Definitely a big improvement on some of the older deviations you have. XD

hummm well I think my style has changed a fair bit, after this is the first sonic pic I've completed fully since well....[link] this piece which was O__O holy cow almost a year ago....so yeahh I think I've gotten the hang of things now, like using those small stylistic strokes on sonic's forehead and what not. As for colouring well I've taken a new approach to that, I was somewhat inspired by a doctor who fan made anime that I found on youtube made by and loved the use of more tones in celshading, so using one of his colour guides I sorta tried the style here.

The coloring and shading work with each other and make it seem to have some sort of aged feel :3 Similar to the sepia tone photographs or steampunkish genre.
