Spot the difference!! haha! Good work putting this together. Once again, seemless. Congrats! ^_^ ... I don't think I've seen the very last episode, so I can't say I know whats going on here, but I venture a completly unlikely, humorous guess. The battle between the Cyclonians and everyone else is over. A peace treaty has been made, Stork is still fuming about his Condor being scratched. He is murdering random Cyclonians. Hence the expressions of everyone in the shot. ^_^ haha!

Thanks so much!
I can't believe you haven't seen the final episode!!! How far are you into the show? The final 10 or so episodes follow a story arc of sorts, that concludes at the final episode. However, there's a relatively large cliffhanger at the end, which is why so many of us fans desperately want a third season

I now I've seen as far as episode 42, I saw episode 46, I;'m pretty certain I saw 49and 50 and I watched episode 51 the other day. I'd probably watched all of it if it weren't on at all the wrong times and now it isn't at all I don't think! (sigh)

I remember that Cyclonis looked at this picture of herself as a kid with what I think was her Mother or Grandmother. It was a cute moment from what I remember, but I'd like to know if it actually ties into the story. If it doesn't, as cute as it was, I'd like to see something be made of it in a third season.

^_^

You can find all of the episodes on youtube (That's how I watched the entire series).
I won't ruin anything by confirming or denying what you've said You'll just have to watch the episode yourself
(Although, I think it's her Grandmother's picture, since it's her throne Cyclonis moves at the end of Origins)

Cool! Congratulations! That sounds like a really interesting job! You'll have to let me know how it goes. ^_^

Things have been okay here, the days until my first day back at college steadily count down to zero when I'll be faced with maths. But i'll be faced with science too so I'm looking forward to it.

Wondering where I'll get the time to finish my book though that I'm writing, but it'll be done one day! ^_^

ShadowScorch In reply to Razi123 [2010-09-06 20:59:14 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow, you're in college? I don't mean to sound like an idiot, but I always assume everyone I'm talking to about Storm Hawks is a lot younger. It's good to know someone else around my age watches the show

I just got my Bachelor of Sciences actually, so it's safe to say I'm a fan of sciences . So you enjoy science, but not math? That would make you a biologist, no?

You're writing a book?! That is totally awesome! What genre?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Razi123 In reply to ShadowScorch [2010-09-08 12:36:50 +0000 UTC]

Ah-hahahahahaa!!! N, worry's, you don't sound like an idiot. Just a while back I expressed surprise that I was talking to someone living in Poland. ^_^ And, Right you are! I love biology! I've always been good at it! I like physics too! I'm not bad at chemistry, but I keep forget the symbols on the periodic table. ^_^ around fifty of them, thats a lot of symbols to remember. Haha! ^_^

Its funny, I used to love maths as a kid, but when I got to comprehensive school, the teacher as nice as he was would end up having conversations with the students who knew what to do and became oblivious to those of us who didn't quite get it, so I ended up going down hill with maths and now don't like it very much.

To have gotten you Bachelors, that would make you, between 21 and 27, right? ^_^

My book, its genre is Fantasy. I know some people are like, "Ugh, Fantasy, a pile of drivel, made up by a looney," But ya know, its great fun to create, and it actually takes a lot of brain of brain power to create a world and I do mean a world, (I have three continents made minimum) and keep up with it all.

And yeah, you're right about the whole age thing. Most of the time its like, "For all I know, I'm talking to a teenager," Which isn't a bad thing, but its nice knowing you aren't the only grown up into cartoons. ^_^ Haha!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowScorch In reply to Razi123 [2010-09-09 01:38:35 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I love fantasy! If I were to write a novel, there's no question that I'd write a Fantasy genre novel. I've read many fantasy series, but right now I'm on The Malazan Book of the Fallen . It's not well known, but it's a truely good series.

I'm sure you already know this, but when writing your novel, make sure to have your continents well fleshed out (ie distances, cities, histories, etc). It adds loads of realism to any novel, and makes the story always more interesting and lively in my opinion . Having races and magic well defined obviously helps too

And I'm 21 in fact , so right at the lower end of your guess-range. Hope you don't mind me asking, but how old are you?

Also, physics is a passion of mine. I respect chemistry, but don't have any real skill/talent at it. Biology on the other hand I just don't like - at all . I'm more of the type of person who likes formulae, proofs and theorems, however biology is pretty much just memorized (Conversely, I enjoy Earth Sciences, which is pretty much the exact same thing. Don't ask me why, I just seem to enjoy it a lot more )

Ach! The stupid thing sent before I was done! This is the second time this has happened to me! But I have it figured out now, don't hit the ta mark above the caps lock button! Its like a send button on the keyborad and is eeeeviiiil!!

Fantasy stories are awesome. There are no words to describe there aweseomnity, ^_^ However, there are always one or two that let the genre down. T_T

There's always something about them that annoys the heck out of me and its not all of them, just some, and its 'Over-description'. I love the stories and all, but if someone is attacked and rolls into a dark pit, they don't need to go over the top and bore the reader with a 35-40 line long paragrapgh about the darkness of the pit! I loved Harry Potter a few years ago, but as the books got further into the series, JK began adding too much description. No wonder one of her books is over 500 pages long!

Stephanie Meyer is another who does that. I aint gonna bash twilight, as much as I'm not a fan, but I will bash the length. She overdesribes to a point of which it becomes boring. I'd rather find out whats going on than read a repeated overlong description of Edwards liquid topaz eyes! And its not just that, she overdescribes a lot of the time on nearly everything. Yeah, describe, set an atmosphere, thats a good thing. It gets the reader involved, but if it goes on too long then it annoys the reader and loses them.

A good book to read though for a good story and just enough description is the first three books in the Maximum Ride serie. He sets it out in series set of three or something like that, so there is another series set after the first three. ^_^ He's real good at setting out chapters. Their long enough to be good, but short enough to convince you, 'I gotta find out what happens, the next chapters only a few pages long, I find out and then put the book down!' Five hours later 'Oh, I shoulda put it down, reading 'til four in the morning isn't good...' ^_^

I haven't read for a little while, been too busy chilling out after spending ages writing, but I started 'Dawn of a Dark Age' by Jane Welch a while ago. Its not bad so far. I'm about 45 pages in. 503 to go! Haha! ^_^

I quite liked Interview with the vampire (the book)

I'm at the point with my hand written story though that I'd like it to be finished. I love my writing and find it fun, I stil have a few changes to make to it so I'm still writing a few parts, but I'm mainly on editing now which is a pretty lengthy job. I can't wait to have it done and start sending off to agents. ^_^

A knowledge of biology has actually come in handy for me ^_^ I'm interested in medical stuff so it comes in handy with that, with writing my books, (I do mean books) ^_^ and so on and so forth. (Strange as it may sound, I'm also kinda interested in phobias, illnesses and disabilities. (I suppose that hooks in somewhat with the biology though and the last one, with the Asperger's Syndrome within me) ^_^ Haha! ^_^

Haha, yeah I've hit the reply button several times by accident myself, although I do it by trying to hit 'original' to see what I'd previously sent, and end up hitting the 'reply' button

Yes, I find over-description very annoying as well. Luckily, I've read very few novels I'd consider 'over-descriptive' though. When I say have things fleshed out, I don't mean that you necessarily include everything you decide in the book; but have it fleshed out so that you don't contradict yourself with something like geographical locations, abilities, people, histories, etc.

I'll have to check out the Maximum Ride series then, though I know it'll be a while until I probably get around to it; I want to finish the Malazan Book of the Fallen series first, and I know that'll take me a long time.

Good luck with your novel . It's good to hear things are coming together nicely!

Razi123 In reply to ShadowScorch [2010-09-12 22:01:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Maximum Ride is awesome, I haven't read the latest one out, 'Fang' all the way through yet, but all the others are really good. ^_^

I was just on wiki about that Malazan book and It got me thiking. What is it about? It seemed interesting but didn't say much about the story. ^_^

Yeah, I'm gonna have the gepgraphy sorted out before I submit it for publication. I'm thinking of making up some maps for it Not necessarily to put in the front of the book, for one continent I'd need several fold out pages! Haha! But just for my own references. ^_^

Thanks for your support with the 'good luck' comment, it means a heck of a lot. ^_^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowScorch In reply to Razi123 [2010-09-12 22:19:09 +0000 UTC]

I always find maps are a great thing to include in a Fantasy novel, mainly so you get a better feel for where characters are, what's nearby, etc.

Malazan's a complicated series to describe, and I don't really want to attempt to either, because I don't think I can do it justice . A very quick background summary would be that it takes place in a collection of large continent-islands , where there are recorded histories stretching back literally 100,000 years.

The series takes place during the times of the Malazan Empire, several years after a coup d'etat resulting in the assassination of the well-loved Emperor and several of his most trusted and powerful allies.

The new Empress has made drastic changes, which people both in the Empire and outside of it despise greatly, so a main overlying story-arc so far is the quest to assassinate her (although there are many many other things going on, but the assassination is more or less the main, overall goal for several prominent main characters.) So far however, there's something like 20 or so 'main' main characters, and apparently that number grows with each book.

And you're very welcome I sincerely hope everything works out, and look forward to reading it one day too

Razi123 In reply to ShadowScorch [2010-09-12 22:33:08 +0000 UTC]

Goodness me, thats a lot of main characters. His books must be at least 700 pages long each! How does he do it? Does he devote different chapteres to different characters? Sections of the book? (Mind is blown) ^_^

It sounds pretty interesting. I'll have to try and get hold of it sometime. I'd get get it from my library, but my time is actually pretty much swallowedup at the moment with the writing and college, but should I get some free time, I'll have to take a look! ^_^ I couldn't write that many main characters though. That is just such a huge job. (Mind is still blown, peices of my mind are fluttering down to the floor of my brain cavity life ash over pompeii. ^_^)

If we'e still in contact in three years, (Which is about how long it will take assuming my luck is right to get it published) I'll have to let you know. It might actually take a bit longer to get to Canada even, but if were in contact still then, I'll let ya know. ^_^

ShadowScorch In reply to Razi123 [2010-09-13 00:37:12 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, typically each chapter is dedicated to a single group of main characters, but sometimes he'll switch from one group to another during a chapter. It all works together rather well, although there are many main characters , and a massive amount of secondary characters too

The book I'm on right now (second one), is 950+ pages, while the third book is 1100+ . I only picked up the first three books in the series so far, but they were only $10 each, so I'm thinking the rest in the series will be relatively cheap as well.

I'm sure we'll talk on and off for a while yet . If you want, you can send me a note with your email/msn or something so we can chat there too!

Razi123 In reply to ShadowScorch [2010-09-13 22:02:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, emailing good! Does using the notes option keep messages private or something? I've wondered about it but never used it. ^_^

That is a lot of pages!!

Just been to the linked page and THATS A LOT OF CHARACTERS!! To give that many characters in depth personalities, WHEW! Its a very big and quite mentally exhausting job. This guy must be unbelievably good at his thing!

I have a quite a few in depth characters, but it looks like he has nearly if not more than fifty! When I have the time I'll have to take a look at his work. From looking at pages about his work, it looks like it could have the feel of the old books. (Thats a very good thing) ^_^ and another thing, if he's been atgetting published ince 1999, he must write at an unbelievable pace! We're talking sonic the hedgehog, that wonderful sega game ^_^ ... I wouldn't want to edit and spell check HIS work! Haha! Its difficult enough with novel I'M working on! ^_^ Ha!

And, thats actually a pretty good price for a book that long, here it'd be only about £5 so thats unbelievably decent. ^_^

I don't use the note feature much either, so I'll have to figure it out again sometime

And not only are there a lot of central/main characters in the Malazan series, but they're also killed rather frequently (of the twenty or so main characters I've seen so far, I can think of 3 that have died, with countless secondary/lesser characters being killed as well) It makes for a more thrilling read IMO, since the reader doesn't know if the characters he's reading about will actually survive the current ordeal or not

And yes, he publishes a book around about once a year, maybe even shorter I truely don't understand how he does it, but it works out well for the readers, who have less time to wait in between novels.

We'll both have to try to figure out note ^_^

Ya know, that guy must have just so much strength, buecause when you create a charcter so in depth, its like what I can only imagine a child must be like. You'd never dream of killing them off. A couple I'm not as attached to might go but my main characters. They either won't or it'll be VERY difficult. Whew! Mind, I only have about 2 main characters and a few villains, so of course I'm closer to them. ^_^

That dude, publishing that quickly... *whispered* He must be a wizard! XD ^_^

To do this, I took a screenshot of Cyclonis from ep 44, then added a translucent green layer overtop her, so that she was shaded the same as the rest of the Storm Hawks up above.

Then I took various screenshots of the Storm Hawks from ep 52, merged them together, and added extra space for Cyclonis. Easier said than done, but it was fun to do

I also think Cyclonis and Finn would be cute together
