Description
They *were* friends at one point in time, even if it was for only a few seconds.
They do their best to show how much they hate each other, but deep down they really are friends, and now and then they'll accidentally let slip a friendly smile when they see each other.
--
Now that I look at it again, I think I made Piper a little *too* happy =S (I photoshopped that smile in there). Oh well, I guess she's just excited to see Cyclonis lol

My newer picture of them together: [link] (I like the newer one better personally)

They are not friends. Now or ever. Cyclonis destroyed Piper's home and tried to kill her family -the storm hawks on a regular basis. yeah, she doesn't want a friend like that. sorry, but there is no Cyclonis Piper friendship!

Long time ago comment and user gone, but wow, they took things more seriously than the show itself did. If Cyclonis changed her evil ways, which there was a good chance of happening if the show hadn't been cancelled, I'm pretty sure Piper would accept her friendship. She never particularly hated or feared Cyclonis as a villain, was rather casual and even flippant when fighting her, and even said she thought of her as a lonely girl who wanted friends and pitied her for that.

I hate to burst your bubble, but this is a fanfic photoshop. Look around the internet, it's almost all non-canon material.
As for there being a friendship, I think you should watch episode 6. The entire episode revolves around this, and although Cyclonis was in disguise, the use of the 'Oblivion Crystal' proved they were (at least for a little bit) friends. You don't forget about something like that easily; even though Lark was a 'lie', the fun they had together was quite real.
As for the artwork itself, I apologize lol. This was an early attempt at photoshopping, and I've gotten much better since.

I know it is a fanfic photoshop. I watched the original episode.
and as for friendship-yes, they are broken that easily-remember how the Dark Ace killed his so-called friends and carver betrayed his friends. they might have been friends for a small amount of time but that doesnt mean they will continue to nurture the spark or whatever.
Don't apologize, I was just pointing out that it is very impossible for there even to be thoughts of rekindling their friendship bec of the war and the fact she put Piper's real friends in danger. It was simply an opinion.

It's never really stated that the original Storm Hawks were killed however. I realize I'm being pedantic, but it's only ever mentioned that they were 'defeated'.
It is a kid's tv show, and I believe the word defeated was added in place of 'killed' by the censors, but in a hypothetical future episode, someone like Lightning Strike for example could show up with no inconsistencies in the plot/script. Even the Dark Ace in the final episode could still make an appearance after what happened to him.
As for their friendship getting rekindled, there are any matter of plot lines that could occur, forcing them or leading them (Cyclonis and all the Storm Hawks) to become allies, likely out of necessity and untrustworthy ones at first, but the bonds of trust and friendship grow over time. That's what character development is all about, and I love it when it's done right.
Here are a few different 'tropes' the Cyclonis/Storm Hawks could possibly undergo in a 'Season 3', leading to them being allies on one level or another (and thus, Piper and Cyclonis being on at least friendlier terms). I'll leave the details up to the writers :

heel face turn-not happening. It would mean cyclonis would have to give up everything that made her who she was. betray her family, the dark ace and all of cyclonia.
necessarily evil-ok the possibility exists for that. but do you really want to be friends with the girl who took everything from you even though you felt chained by it. I think pride would be a problem for Cyclonis.
ok to survive in the farside. the last one is very probable. but knowning cyclonis-she will manipulte the storm hawks to cause their deaths along with her enemy.
Cyclonis does not play with others especially since the storm hawks stripped away everything that made her who she was.Arrogant people dont get friendly, they get even.

I wouldn't say she 'took everything' from them. In fact, beside's Aerrow's father, none of the current Storm Hawk cast has had family members 'defeated' by Cyclonia (I mention Cyclonia, because Cyclonis was just a sad little girl when Lightning Strike fell, the Original Storm Hawks defeated, and the Dark Ace turned).
It's obvious Cyclonis admires/loves her Grandmother, and it's entirely possible that she was brainwashed/manipulated by her Grandmother into hating the Atmos (who were attacking their home Terra, for reasons she might not have understood; being so young). Current day, Atmos is still in a perpetual state of war with the Cyclonian Empire, though it wasn't instigated by Cyclonis; as a girl she saw her home Terra attacked and the only firsthand information she could get about Sky Knights and whatnot is from Dark Ace, who defected in the first place.
tl;dr One valid explanation is that as a child she went through years of subtle brainwashing and classical conditioning, which isn't hard to believe considering how much she admires her Grandmother and trusts Dark Ace.

Good thought. I've been running on this line of thought for a while now (let me know what you think):
The last 10 or so episodes involved the Far Side story arc, where Cyclonis' main objective was to find the Door and Key to get to the Far Side. From what was mentioned in the show, she wanted access to the Far Side technology, and I think that once she was able to access it, she didn't really care what happened to her Terra.
Although, that fails to explain what happened to Dark Ace. The writers have stated ([link] - it's in one of these videos) that you don't actually see him 'die', but evaporate, so I think that Cyclonis possibly sacrificed the Far Side crystal (and thus her Terra) to empower Dark Ace.
I'm relatively certain Dark Ace survived, and Cyclonis knew what she was doing, but there's no knowing for certain until/unless a Season 3 is released.

sacrificing her terra means sacrificing everything her Grandmother and family stood for. the essence of her power. Meaning she would be powerless. if she didnt care for her terra. she would have gone to the farside and never come back, appointed da the new ruler. cyclonis is not one to play games or waste time for the hell of it.maybe the farside is her backup plan. lead the storm hawks there. let the foolish and egotistic sky knights argue among themselves and eventually fight-we see how they needed the storm hawks to bring them together and now with the absence of the storm hawks-who is to say they will keep the peace. then she comes back with an army and destroys the remnants of the sky useless knights. and season 3 will never be released so unless u want to write a fanficiton-we will never know.

With Cyclonia gone I doubt there will be a civil war and they not 'keep the peace'.
Plus, if it were all accidental as you say, I'm sure there would have been the slightest hint in her expression or attitude afterwards. All she does after DA evaporates is fly off. Then 20 seconds later we see her put on a sly grin and taunts the Storm Hawks as she goes into the Door.
It may very well have been a backup plan, but that still makes it a plan.

rule number one of evil empress facile expressions: never let your true feelings show. hence she kept her face stoic and smiled. i remember one girl after a terrible accident involving another girl she started smiling. she is not a bad person. just the accident made her uncomfortable and upset and she showed it by smiling, inappropriate as it was. Yes, she is a planner. a backup plan is the possibility!
and did u see the egos of the sky knights and the competitions they have. they will definitely start fighting among themselves. with no aerrow to give the inspiring speeches. chaos will reign.

hey, grandmother didnt manipulate and brainwash her. she is a smart and independent girl. smart enough to make her own decisions. No offense-but i dislike people who think her as nothing more than a brainwashed, emotionally dependent sad little girl. that is not her personality. she can and does make up her own mind. only a foolish person will mark her a brainwashed victim when she is not! she could have changed her circumstances any time she wanted. could have made up her own mind. Grandmother was dead and Dark Ace served her. atmos was part of cyclonia-they started the war when they deflected breaking up the cyclonian empire. and what lion having broken free from their captors will allow their captors to exsist only to be captured again.

Ok, for starters, there is absolutely nothing in the show saying her Grandmother didn't brainwash her; I merely said it was an option. Remember, this is all hypothetical, based on observations on the show. And to be honest, I've never considered her a 'brainwashing victim' before; but there's nothing contradicting it either. Prove me wrong with observations/facts/statements from the show.
"Free to make her own choices, chanced her circumstances any time she wanted"; Heel Face Turn is a viable option then.

it is improbable because. A- she is smart, thirsty for knowledge and cunning. the plots to overtake Atmos-she thought of them. someone with a very high IQ and cunning thinking would not simply accept what is being told to her. Grandmother or not. the face heel turn-personality is the problem. she passionately hates the storm hawks now and she will not give up till she gets what she wants.to surrender so meekly to your worst enemies-not her style.

She's thought of some plots like the Storm Engine in ep 1-2. Keep in mind there have been generations of "Master Cyclonis' " that have plotted to take over the Atmos (or recapture, however you look at it).
She's definitely smart and cunning. I can see the brainwashing theory being used as an explanation in the show by the writers though, if they ever chose to do a heel face turn. As the series stands now though, it's highly unlikely there was ever any 'obvious' brainwashing, though you have to admit that living in Cyclonia for her childhood would have definitely influenced her. What I'm trying to say is that her parents/grandparents have certainly influenced her to be who she is (for better or worse).
I submit to you this question: would Cyclonis have had the same personality and desires had she been born to a standard family on Atmosia?

living in cyclonia as an empress means she has a duty and love for her terra. I would like to say for better bec she is strong, powerful and a cunning and capable of ruling an empire. how many of the other characters can say that-certainly not princess perry!
there was the storm engine, the stratosphere, the powerful crystals she made to increase da power, finding the farside door and crystals, five days, there are numerous instances where i think she has proven herself to be an awesome leader not simply bec someone else has thought of the plan. and remember the episode what has got into finn.
if she was born in another terra, she would be loyal to that terra bec it is her home and responsibility or she would have betrayed them for power. unsure about it.

That is an insane coincidence! Five Days was actually the first Storm Hawks episode I watched too - I saw a random clip on youtube that involved the Storm Hawks, and went to check out what the show actually was. I typed in 'Storm Hawks' and Five Days was the first episode to pop up. I think that if I had seen any other episode first (especially one without Cyclonis) I would have just stopped there and moved on to the next youtube video, forgetting the Storm Hawks altogether.
What got me about Five Days were several things; one, the 'bad guys' occasionally win, and they are completely competent (keep in mind this episode only featured Cyclonis as an antagonist though, so I hadn't met Ravess, Repton, etc). Not only that, but Cyclonis went through the whole trouble to get that crystal to repair another one very important to her. The expression of joy/happiness at the end of the episode tipped the scales for me, and I've been a big fan of her ever since.
I can see people not liking her of course though, especially since the previous 35+ episodes had only portrayed her as 100% evil.
I don't have any OCs or fanfics I've been juggling around a few ideas in my head on what a 3rd season should have, and stay as true to the source material as possible.

hehe. tell me about ur ideas. i write fan fiction and am actually working on several cyclonis fics. my take on the farside is the storm hawks take her prisoner and use her expertise since she knows more about the farside. If piper suddenly develops knowledge on the farside i will hunt the producers down. Then, she manipulates them, playing on their mercy and sense of righteousness. Distroying them from the inside out. i like angst.
[link] i made a da/cyclonis vid, check it out please.
Yes, five days was a unique episode. i think most of the bad guys are competent but it is just the plot that induces stupidity. it is too plainly obvious sometimes.with the exception of snipe, repton and his brothers and the talons in general.
yes, i know. if she was just a sociopath or evil-u wouldnt think she was human. nobody likes a non-human character. she is portrayed as evil bec well she has people in the room or has to show herself as unmerciful, ruthless and subjugating to be taken seriously.

Nice vid! Here's one of mine: [link]
Like I said, I don't have a very concrete plot, though I've got some good twists here and there that I'd like to add, that are basically begging to be added in terms of what the show has already shown us. I won't mention any of them though, since I am adding little summaries to my fanfic on and off, but let's say it's all related to the "Great Quake" mentioned on Terra Vapos that affected all of Atmos.
And Cyclonis definitely has to remain a strict and merciless ruler on her Terra; hell, you saw what happened when she and Dark Ace left to find the Door - it was a free-for-all to become the next "Master".

where did u get the clips! they are such good quality!
for cyclonis capture. she is stuck with only one friend-the aged valkmir who decides to show her mercy though the cyclonians killed his daughter. their conversation is being tapped so the storm hawks can see if she says anythign worthwhile. she mixes the truth with fiction so the storm hawks get the impression that she is a lonely girl afraid of letting down her grandmother. she shows some compassion by saving Valkmirs grandson from the attack of sharktors. piper mistakenly says since they are made of carbon entity they can be defeated by special crystals. however cyclonis knows that the weapon will only work in presense of phosphorous air. the storm hawks dont know it but she gives a hint to valkmir.

Sure They're mostly really straightforward, or so I would think, but I rarely see them used in SH fanfiction.
One minor plotline for example revolves around Domiwick, and how he eventually made it to the Far Side (which started from the "Dark Waters" episode). Between when he would have arrived there, and when the Storm Hawks defeated Cyclonia, at least several weeks have passed (the whole Far Side arc happened in between, with episode 52 alone taking at least a month and a half - it mentions 9 days have passed since Terra Cyclonia could levitate, then another 6 weeks passed of Cyclonian rule). To make a story interesting, there's no point to just 'kill off' and forget about Domiwick, so I figure he's surviving somehow on the Far Side (how though I haven't decided; maybe he's a hermit or smuggler or something). Most believably, he'd smoothtalk his way into something, and most likely be fascinated with the ruins (if any?) on the Far Side.
Speaking of not killing off characters, the likelyhood that Dark Ace is still alive is ~100%. Cyclonis did what she did on purpose, and it's likely Dark Ace has some newfound abilities due to the amount of energy he absorbed from that crystal (and his subsequent disintegration). It's entirely likely he mistook what Cyclonis was doing, as did the rest of us, and he probably holds a grudge against her (at least initially).
During the chaos of the final battle, there's a slim chance that minor characters who were freed from the crystal prison on Cyclonia (but don't appear in the closing scene with Starling's narration) are on board the Condor when it goes to the Far Side. I'm told that the stalker hen is actually on board when they leave, but I haven't been able to confirmed this.
Perhaps the most interesting thing most people forget is that the Storm Hawks actually have a secret weapon - Radarr! Far Side crystals, for whatever reason, are allergic to him, so Radarr becomes a very important character. If there isn't any animosity between the people of the Far Side and the Storm Hawks at first, there will soon be - I can only foresee the king/emperor/ruler of the Far Side deciding to have Radarr killed because of the threat he poses. Of course, these differences could be resolved in multiple ways, but it would make for an interesting narrative in between.
I've got plenty more thoughts and ideas, but I'd like to hear some of yours

it is interesting. Dom is definetly smooth enough to get a job. and the radaar thing is an interesting concept. totally see the problems arising. but i dnt get it-if cyclonis did the blowing up on purpose-what was her plan? why sacrifice her home and talons. i am just thinking but maybe da is the new evil entity bent on domination and the storm hawks have to force cyclonis into helping her bec she knows about the farside and aerrow is infatuated with her.

Don't forget I'm basing all of my plotlines on canonical, set-in-stone personalities, so that's why I'm avoiding any kind of romances. I am much more of a FinnxCyclonis shipper than anything else, so we'll have to agree to disagree .
As for DA becoming the 'new evil entity bend on domination' - I can actually see that happening. I'll tell you why - "Energy Crisis". If that episode didn't exist, I would probably completely disagree with you. But considering how power-mad Dark Ace went when he obtained that 'Suit of Untold Vengeance'. If what happened to him at the end of Cyclonia Rising Pt 2 made him (much?) more powerful, than it's very believable that he would go power-mad once again.

Ever heard of the phrase 'opposites attract'? Anyways, there no way I could sway your opinion on shipping, nor you sway mine, so I'll leave it at that
As for Dark Ace, I think it entirely concerns just how powerful he's become. Judging from "Energy Crisis", he's not the type to hold onto allies if he deems them unnecessary; we all know he's loyal to Cyclonis, but he dropped her pretty quick once he obtained that Suit.
I would very much doubt Far Side is a utopia of any sort, though at the same time it's probably more or less stable. There are likely splinter groups (similar to Cyclonia's role on Atmos, but much weaker) that are looking to raise a coup and take control of the Far Side for themselves. If there are poeple in these splinter groups that have powerful/strong-willed individuals, it's very believable DA would 'team-up' with them, while seeking to control the Far Side for himself.
