SO true, if we weren't writers I'm sure we'd be locked up in crazy houses.

Thank you, It reminds me of something someone said, along the lines of "Writer's are crazy. We hear voices all the time, telling us to do things. The only difference between us and the other crazy-hearing-voices people is we make our voices form words, then sentences, then paragraphs, then pages. Oh. And as a general rule, we only kill people with pens and keyboards." but he also added that we create worlds as well.

Sounds like it could of come from Stephen King or Neil Gaiman though I'm not sure.
I know why I write, it is my tool to vanquish my inner turmoil. If it weren't for being able to build characters and cityscapes inside of my head I wouldn't be able to deal. Then again this is coming from a man who has lived in his head for the better part of 24 years hehe.

Oh I wish I could live in my head alone, it would be a wonderful place to live, though likely more dangerous now I think about it.

I really wish... though with my latest work in progress it would actually not be good. Maybe I'll wait till the stories in my head are nicer.

you have to live with the dark as well as the light. Right now my latest work in progress(which you probably can't read all of cause your underage) is walking down a dark path, something I know all to well. Yet I still live with the characters talking to me, demanding i continue.

Yes, well my work in progress is a dystopia, a world which bans creativity. That is worse in my mind than most dark paths those I can walk with head held high knowing my characters can deal with it.

I haven't read either one, but basically visual art and creative writing have been banned, visual art has pretty much died out, and writing is a risk which only a few take.

ah the use of grafitti i doubt that'll ever die out hehe it sounds interesting.
1984 is by George Orwell and at the time of it's writing was a 'prophetic' writing about when the US would become Totalitarian and Bueracratic and let all forms of Individuality die out. Many say it's come true while many say it's only beginning to come true
Fahrenheit 451 is about a future where book burning is common, and only a few goverment approved books make it through. I haven't red this one in a while i need to buy a new copy
LOl, sorry Literature geek i am!
