Description
Young of ageOld of soul
Look at the eyes
To gauge
Where the mind goes
Many of us lie
Straight to the face
We try to give Sage
Advice to those beyond our age
Yet we pay no mind
To those old in young kind
Do you know how to find
Them?
They have soft skin
Their smiles are not often
Their eyes are dark as sin
For what has befallen them
Young of age
Old of soul
Look at the eyes
To gauge
Where the mind goes
She lives her life
Trapped on the edge of a knife
Not knowing what is truth and what is lies
I wish I could help
But I am of her kind
And know that it must take time
To wind the wounds back in line
