Description
The space betweenThe spaces between items can have the
Effect of defining said items;
The effort involved crossing such space
Can make the item seem valuable
More worth while to behold
Yet the space between two touching items
Can stretch for infinity
No matter how far you stretch
How hard you strain
Ligaments groaning protests
Joints shouting in anger
They remain a featherβs width apart
Infinity defined through sensation
Or lack therefore of
Distance is all within the perception
Can you really perceive the depths?
Can you build a bridge over the abyss?
The crack seen within the sidewalk?
Your fractured sight,
Ever so tortured with inaccurate accounts.
Yes they may be sitting right next to you,
But between you is that bloody space warp
Or you can take in a sweet breath of air
And not help but touch them all over
The distance
Notwithstanding
Can you touch someone deeply with but a thought?
Can you move someone without lifting a finger?
Can you lift mountains majesty with just one heartbeat?
Can you touch something deeper inside than just the fruited plains?
Are you listening right now? Is these words contained within the space
Between your ears?
Is there truly space there, are do you just perceive nothing there but space?
Have I lost you within the spaces between these words
Or maybe even the concepts behind them
Or lack therefore of said flow.
Move those mountains
Touch someone deeply
Kiss the starry-lit skies
Reach
Caress
Be moved
Tears falling
Between the spaces
Of two hearts
Or maybe two million hearts
Connections
Just filling space.

Haunting is all I can say. So very and keenly haunting. I love the way you can move people with you words. There a touches of shadow in the poem, but there always is in your writings, but such a bright light as well - a kind of glow to it all that outshines the darkness. Truly inspiring, such a thing!

I was drowning in the words so aptly used in this piece. When I returned to the surface for air, it had a whole new meaning.
"Can you touch someone deeply with but a thought?
Can you move someone without lifting a finger?
Can you lift mountains majesty with just one heartbeat?
Can you touch something deeper inside than just the fruited plains?
Are you listening right now? Is these words contained within the space
Between your ears?
Is there truly space there, are do you just perceive nothing there but space?"
I fall more in love with your words everytime I read them.

Can you touch someone deeply with but a thought?
In answer to that I believe I would have to say yes!

*Is deeply moved* You've always had a knack for thrilling to such depths with your writings - and this is one is right up there with the best! I swear if you wanted you could get published. Such a talent... Don't you EVER put down that pencil - or I'll have to find ways to inspire you to taking it up again.
