My part of the art trade with lilgrimmapple

She asked for Melody and Goth being pissed at each other just after an argument. She didn't specify what the argument was about tho so I went ahead and thought of a possible scenario. The idea was that Goth owns a tooth necklace he decided to show Melody, it's a mix of teeth from prey and of other Vampyrum he beat up when he was younger (basically young males establishing power and status among each other etc.). To him that is like a badge of honor and something to be proud of. Melody wasn't that impressed, maybe even remarking how it's kinda barbaric, then Goth making a jab at how humans are pathetic and that his tooth necklace is better then the gaudy thing she's wearing. And it quickly escalated from there.

As to why Goth showed her that thing in the first place, well obviously it was to intimidate and impress her with his battle proves. Did I say impress her? No, it's clearly only to intimidate her. Clearly. No other motivation whatsoever.

And before I wrap it up, here's a fun story about the background. I had some issues with the green part behind the bush, basically I couldn't figure out what to put there at first, didn't think the sky would make much sense given perspective and everything. So I decided to go for unfocused foliage. Well that turned out looking good as barf so my mind goes "Well shit what now? How do I fix this? Ummm, ummm, light bar effect? Never done that successfully but fuck it can't make it worse". So I added the light and it was not too good but it did distract from the barf so I counted that as in improvement. So with some more messing around and fixing things up I got to to an imo presentable level. Plus that resulted in this neat little symbolic thing of Melody facing the light while Goth is turned to the darkness of the pyramid. So. *thumbs up*
