Eyyyyy new character time. Got this guy a bit ago and been slowly working on this concept page since then, just got held up due to being so busy recently. I very rarely buy a character design so when I do they gotta be something special and boi did this guy give me so many Ideas™. So just wanted to do some concept stuffs to get a feel for drawing him. Only made a couple tiny edits to the original design to make it feel slightly more natural, but otherwise I really love him the way he is (even tho he's absolute garbage as a person, but lovable garbage). And although he wasn't designed as a Hollow Knight character you bet I am yeeting him into that universe because of course I would.

Here's the info I got for him so far:

- Death's Head Moth + Purple Emperor Butterfly hybrid.
- Neck "fur" fluffs up when being showy, bragging, confident, receiving compliments, or bluffing to intimidate someone. It lays flat and close to his neck when scared, anxious, depressed, being in pain or just trying to make himself look smaller.
- Conman and shady street magician, generally just uses his skills to scam people.
- One greedy mofo.
- Can do simple tricks like cards, pulling all kinds of crap from his sleeves, making things disappear and juggling.
- His scam methods include selling useless things, offering nonexistent services, rigged games, and pretty much anything else he thinks he can get away with.
- Adept pickpocket and steals whenever he has a chance.
- Lies all the time and is very proficient with it too, being able to keep elaborate lies going for a long time without getting tangled up.
- Never reveals his real name, always goes by a different alias whenever he gets to a new place.
- Master of disguise, is able to switch his getup in a very short time and alter his appearance very convincingly, uses it to get out of sticky situations.
- Uses colored powders to help further disguise himself, usually to change the color of his fluff and wings.
- Gambles, cheats every single time.
- Nectar addict.
- Despite having stolen quite an amount of money over the years he still ends up being dirt poor most of the time. He's not good at actually keeping money since he often needs to use it for bribes, paying his debts with other more dangerous criminals, abandoning it to get away, get new equipment, and the rest usually gets drained by his nectar addiction.
- Even when caught and forced to return the money he stole he'll always try to squirrel away at least a bit of it, pretending he doesn't have it anymore.
- A complete coward, always running away from a fight rather than confronting it. Will abandon you at the drop of a hat.
- His main form of self defense is using his four arms to yeet random shit in quick succession at whatever is chasing him.
- Has no friends or contact at all, trusts no one.
- Basically no morals, will scam and steal even from the elderly, sick, handicapped, children and poor. Considers it all "survival of the fittest".
- Having grown up poor he's of the opinion he only needs to look out for himself too.

- Only group of people he doesn’t mess with anymore are circus folks, deeming them too dangerous to try messing with.

- Had a run in with the Grimm Troupe once, it did not end well.
- Usually stays in a city/kingdom until he's pissed off enough people for things to get dangerous, then he bolts to the next place.
- Tldr don't trust him, he'll lie his ass off and then rob you blind.
- Still unsure tho which timeline to put him in, he never would have come to Hallownest after its ruin (not enough people to scam) so he's potentially hanging around Pharloom (tho would wait until Silksong to see if it works), or maybe even in another kingdom. Alternatively he could have been around in the past, in which case tho he would be long dead by the time the game's events happen.
