The Galactic Ascendancy was a semi-fascist, semi-libertarian regime that had granted their citizens some rights despite their origins as an Imperial Remnant. their citizens do have the right to free speech, the fascist part comes from major injustices and a lot of control on ones' life, although there are multiple ways the Ascendancy respects civil rights, such as equal treatment, despite the xenophobia amongst it's citizens, they also have a mostly free market, with all major companies being controlled by the state, and any small business being granted some opportunity and chance to grow without difficulty.

With full control of all the important military manufacturers, as well as all laboratories and getting a hold on several testing sites, the Ascendant Navy, Ascendant Marine Corps and the Ascendant Fighter Corps were established.

However, with all said and done, the Galactic Ascendancy has a major propaganda problem, although promoting equality amongst species, it always claims that the Galactic Ascendancy is the superior faction to all of the galaxy, even their allies. The Galactic Ascendancy's military, despite being small, was one of the strongest in the entire Second Remnant War, with the overpopulation crisis, the Ascendant Marine Corps, Ascendant Navy and Ascendant Fighter Corps became the No.1 provider for food, water and shelter with the price being military service, either until you serve till the time you can leave, or for life. With the military power of the Galactic Ascendancy only rivalled by the Caretaker Imperial Nomadic Alliance, they came to a stalemate until 18 DSRW, when the Galactic Ascendancy surrendered to the Caretaker imperial Nomadic Alliance, being annexed peacefully.
