Designed for the Deep Space Security Commission in the 2840s, the Deep Space Security Commission needed a troop transport for combat situations, so they got Herald Universal Designs to make them one, so they got their first APCs in 2841, which New Dawn Aeronautics would manufacture the ones meant for the DSSC's forces in the Verak System.

The DSSC-H20M4 'Jackal' APC carries 14 troops total, and has a crew of two, a driver and a gunner. It is armed with two anti-tank missile launchers and a 20mm chain gun. The DSSC-H20M4 has better off-road capabilities than the lightly armoured MRAPs used by the DSSC prior to the introduction of the Jackal APC.
