Description
Vandip was originally a Major in the 1000th Legion. His first battle was during the First Battle of Geonosis, one of the most relentless battles he has ever participated in, and one of the most memorable battles in his life.
Vandip, spent the entire battle fighting side by side with his best friend Jo, a Battalion Commander who was also part of the 1000th Legion.
Sometime after the battle ended, Vandip would be transferred to the 993th Regiment, a sub-unit that was part of the 1000th Legion and was led by Regimental Commander Naos.
Vandip would be placed in the Victorious Battalion, a battalion that would be led by Jo. Vandip would take the post of second in command of the Battalion, in addition to being Jo's successor, if for some reason he ceases to lead the Victorious Battalion.

At some point in the second year of the Clone Wars , Naos would be promoted to Senior Commander and with that promotion he would be given a newly formed legion to command . With this promotion, the need to choose someone to be the new commander of the 993th Regiment was seen. At a suggestion from Naos, Leonid who was a Battalion Commander would be chosen to be the new commander of the 993th Regiment.
Leonid would be promoted to Regimental Commander and would remain leading the regiment for six months, until the time came when he too would be promoted to Senior Commander, and like Naos, he would also be given a newly formed legion to lead.
With Leonid's promotion, the 993th Regiment would once again be without a leader. It was at this time that Jo would be chosen by Leonid to become the new leader of the Regiment, in the end, among all possible successors, Jo was the most qualified to take on that role. Jo would then be promoted to Regimental Commander, and would become the new commander of the 993th Regiment .
With Jo's promotion, the Victorious Battalion would automatically pass into Vandip's hands. Vandip would then be promoted to Battalion Commander, and would lead the Battalion for the rest of the war and even after the war ended.
