Another painting finished at Animazement 2010. He's kind of concerned about something.. D:Watercolor and white ink on watercolor paper.

Hey, whoa, I got DD'd while I was away at Dragon*Con D:
Thank you very much for that, and for all of your comments! A lot of you have asked similar questions, so I will try to explain a little bit about the painting process I used and about the white ink either here or in an entry... One day I'll try a tutorial, but I'm not very good at those;;
For the moment, if you'd like to know, most of my watercolor technique is based on the teachings of Lian Zhen ( [link] <-- his page here), who is a -huge- inspiration to me. I can only hope to be as skilled as he is one day... He has published a number of books, I recommend them highly.
Also, you can credit for introducing me to Doctor PH Martin's Pen White ink, which is what I used to do the highlights/white lines on this picture.

Very gorgeous! I love your use of color and the semi control of the ink/ watercolor. Your managed to get a lot of the watercolor very opaque in some areas which is great for giving this some depth and showing deeper areas of the water. What I like best is your use of the white ink over the watercolor it doesn't appear to be white ink, it appears that you consciously left the white while you where applying the watercolor to the paper or that you went back and scratched out the white as one would do on a scratchboard. Your composition is amazing as is your use of contrast and the placement of your color... especially along where the fishes scales are.
