So I was having a conversation with lalaadanwenb (lalaadanwenb.deviantart.com/) about this picture of Tauriel--> shahrezad1.deviantart.com#/art…The conversation went as follows:
LalaAdanwen "...Gah, sounds gorgeous. And Tauriel would totally rock such a dress, of course!"
Me"Awwwww! *blushes* You're so sweet! <3 And I think that she could rock any outfit we threw at her. But I reeeeeaaally think she'd look pretty in period gowns!"
LalaAdanwen "True! She'd also manage to look badass in Ariel's sail-fabric "dress"."
Me"*suddenly wants to draw Tauriel in Ariel's sail dress* Now look what you've done! You've unleashed the inspiration again. D: *grumbles in mock-irritation and takes out her sketchpad*"
LalaAdanwen "Oh, yes! I'm so glad I inspired you! Errr, I mean - no! Nono, don't draw that, it wouldn't look awesome at all!!!!"
Me"Ooooh, you sly little troublemaker, you."
So, really, this is all your fault. XD

Neither do I! XD But my roommate worked on a SNK cosplay for one of our guy friends, so we became pretty familiar with the uniform rather fast. >_<

Haha, that's cool! I'd love to do cosplay, but I can't sew clothes. I learned sewing for being able to make a flag of Gondor, but everything else is beyond me.

I tend to be of the "modifying" mind when it comes to cosplay--I just find an article of clothing that's already similar and make modifications so that it'll fit.
