  Quillfang and his friends staggered their way back to their own territory. “Fuckin’ fish-guts…” the chimera cursed. “Think they can come onto our territory—”
  “Forget it, dude,” Comfreymane cut him off, running his tail down Quillfang’s spine. “They ain’t worth it.”
  Ratbelly hissed and lashed his tail. “They were just a bunch’a cowards.”
  “There’s quite a few cowards in these parts.”
  The three toms jumped at the sudden voice.
  “Huh?” Quillfang snarled. “Another intruder? Show yourself!”

  “Calm yourself, warrior,” the voice, a molly, spoke softly, but with authority. The toms peered up into the trees, spotting not one, but two cats lounging above in the branches. “You boys got a lotta fight in you. Ever thought of putting it to good use?”
