Description For those familiar with SinixDesign on Youtube, he selects a handful of submissions to develop further. I found myself pretty happy with my submission that I decided to do follow up on developing 3 of them to a pitch level of detail.

See the full sheet of thumbnails here; [link]

The blah on the page however is just a bit of fun

Expect to see more of this kind of development, but probably not so much guns. Not the best kind of thing to build a portfolio on

It looks good. Tho I'm not sure if all of them are functional. For example the handgun [red] looks great yet heavy. You need both hands to use it, so after the launch this would be pretty painful, also good if you marked the front and rear sight.
For the rifles, same stuff, the thing above the barrel, looks heavy, if it's a scope then how do you want to look into it and fire up the gun? when the magazine pokes your ribs.

I can't draw better guns, but I took my time last week to try my bro's asg guns also checked up the anatomy from few of them [link]

Your ideas are good, my fave is the red one and the last right [numbering would help ]

Good points! This sheet simulates the kind of work I would send on to a client for design proposal, if they selected a design I would push that a step further and break down the functionality of the design into a worksheet. Since you asked, I guess I can push these through to that stage and show how that would work :3 I have some outstanding requests and work to finish up first (hence why I've not been posting much lately) but working on these more sounds like fun to me ;3

And you caught me on the numbering xD oops~

Wait, so, 'how' were these made?
I'm really confused...

Step 0: Learn to draw real guns inside and out!
Step 1: Use custom brushes to make some random brush marks
Step 2: Identify vaguely gun like or gun component like shapes in the brush marks
Step 3: Roughly compose and paint in the necessary strokes to make gunlike silhouettes
Step 4: Randomly brush some color on in an Overlay layer to create more variation in form
Step 5: (Which is the sheet you see here.) Switch to a more precise brush and clean up paint in the details until happy

Very sexy! Did you originally paint the silhouettes in grey and then use an overlay layer to make it look more finished? Nice designs machineabuse!

Cheers bro :3 Good eye! Original silhouette layer was in B&W values and then I painted random accents on the top on a overlay before using a hue/sat layer to separate the guns by primary colors (RBY).

And thanks! I like the strong orange graphic stripes you went with on your submissions
