Hey guys! This one will take a while to complete, but I just felt like sharing the progress of it so far. I've spent hoursΒ upon hours on this already, and it's not even half done yet. It's kind of fun to see how a scratchboard comes together, so here ya go.
If you want to follow the progress of this one, I'll be posting WIP photos on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/shalesesands). Otherwise, you'll have to wait until it's all done to see it! I'm using my own refs for this one. This is a 16" X 20" scratchboard.

Oh this is very interesting. Are the white lines something like chalk or actual scratches?

Thanks very much! Yes, it's kind of a chalk--it's from white transfer paper that I used to lay down the outlines.
