Count Duckula WIP, 20083 1/2 in high
Polymer clay; Wooden base
A small work in progress. I just haven't posted anything in a while and I was taking pictures of the pinup girl anyway so I figured - what the hell.
Count Duckula. The image is a mix obviously - top half a framed portrait and the bottom from part from Duckula in the opening animation. I absolutely adore this show... need to get it on dvd one of these days... to live with the Danger Mouse and Hong Kong Phooey dvds.
Great... now I have the Hong Kong Phooey theme song in my head. That's not going to go away any time soon!!
Anyway I started this as a rough warm up sketch before starting in on the pin up girl. He just needs head details, hair and a cape - plus some general clean up and smoothing.

Thanks!! Yeah, while finishing up the details I pulled up and watched the first four episodes on youtube... that and some tiny toons. I really miss a lot of these cartoons.

I adore the ridiculous bad humor in the show... having just rewatch the first few episodes I spent more time laughing than sculpting his head as intended!!
