Description
What have I been working on? Why the lack of drawn art? Simple! I got shanghaied into helping a friend build a 40k army for next year's Armies on Parade! The basic back-story, is that Bret and I despise the miniatures for Plague Marines. They're all festering, bloated, and have bits pouring out. So, we put our heads together, got a bunch of Skaven from Warhammer Fantasy, and put Chaos Marine bits onto them. Boom! Instant Plague Marines!Seen here, are the typical Marines. We started with Plague Monk bodies, then added guns, shoulders and backpacks from Chaos Marines, by way of Green Stuff Sandwich. Green Stuff is an epoxy sculpting putty, where you mix two halves, then get it into the shape you want and cure it overnight. Also, it makes a damned good gap filler. Just put superglue on one piece, put a small ball of Green Stuff in the glue, then put glue on the Green Stuff, then mash the bits together. Sculpt/shave excess, before the super glue dries.
