A stunning image. I usually skim over fantasy images but I had to click the thumbnail in this case - part of that was to do with my fascination of animated skeletons but mostly I was lured by the rich tones. Looking at the full image I am not disappointed. I think for me this brings an element to fantasy that I have found lacking – a lacking which led me to abandon fantasy almost 10 years ago.

The same can be said for fiction and games too. I guess that's why I strayed over into the more gritty genres of sci-fi.

All the usual like Blade Runner and Aliens etc. I like anything with a mix of the dark, gritty and technological. Everything from retro sci-fi, to apocalyptic. I'll even touch some fantasy/sci-fi hybrids, but I guess most sci-fi has a touch of fantasy.
