Okay, so for awhile now I've recieved several notes/comments etc asking me about my lineart. How I do it and if I'd make a tutorial for it. So here ya go! Download or whatever ya gotta do to see my crap in a readable format. Forgive the horrible handwriting I managed to scribble in there.
I'll be doing another tutorial soon on how to make shiney things. I use Photoshop CS however this tutorial applies to any version of Photoshop; as what I do for lineart is very simple. I know that there are a million ways to do line art, and this may not be the "best" way, but this is the way I do it. It's also the way I prefer to do it. And I apologize for the large size and if it kills the slower connections out there.
PS- The chopped off words are "and" and "res". Oh, and new layer is actually (shift+ctrl+n)...lol (ctrl+alt+n = new document) My baad. Too lazy to go back and edit that, haha.

I'm sure its a common practice, lol, it's easy to do out of all the methods you can use to make lineart. However I would keep getting asked if I had some magical way of doing line art so I figured I should just go ahead and make a tutorial and show everyone how I do it...and now when someone asks me I can just link them to this. X3

I have gimp, though I hear it's not as good as Photoshop for some reason...
I don't have a tablet, though I'm trying to save up for one. I want one so bad!!! I mean, tracing with ones mouse is ok, I guess, but I'd rather just have a tablet...

I too do my lineart using my tablet and just the brush tool. I need to get better as I tend to shake and my lines get all messy >_<
