Inspired by this man here's beautiful photography - and Skyrim hahaabout four hours CS5 no ref for the pose; a few for the head
Yes, I'm aware male lions don't -usually hunt in a pride- (amended) And that's why it's male. I love seeing pics of lions in snow cause it's so surreal, and I decided it would be cool if a lion ended up in a cold area (Skyrim coughcough) and since he was different, he had it hard. - Seeing some color weirdness in the transition to web colors. In reality it's not so green, and to you DL people, it's giant and i painted from far away, so get in close and you'll see how icky it is XD

As a rule, I don't favourite Anthros. This is a first exception. Something about the detail of the head and realism of anatomy makes this less cartoony and almost believeable. Very well done.

One of my favorite anthro pieces ever is an anthro lion with a bow and flaming arrow. That image is what made me really start to like anthros, to be honest. I have to wonder why more people don't draw anthro lions. They are very majestic, and you captured that perfectly here

Yes Male lions DO hunt.. there good at it to just not as good as the Ladies... Till a Lion gets a Pride, he is on his own so they hunt. they also scavenge as all lions do but work with other males or on there own to hunt. And after they loose a pride they hunt on there own if they can still do so. Sorry males aren't that lazy.
Now the snow, Beautiful!! they head is not oversize and there IS a neck yeah
