I think even though you don't like some things about this drawing, the fact is that you were able to capture the feeling, emotion and or fear in it.
I have trouble sometimes .. if not all the time, drawing the expression needed for a certain emotion or feeling. I think you've done a great job capturing the unknown here and what might be behind that door!

The eyes are seriously fabulous. You've really caught that, "I shouldn't but I can't help myself" sort of glance. It's so.. oldschool horror movie.
I do agree the area around the shoulder looks a bit rough, but otherwise this looks beautiful!

Advanced critique (at least two cents worth):
An excellent use of repoussoir: in this case used to create tension and drama.
The line of the girls arm from the shoulder down looks rough and needs some fairing out.
There's probably too much range of finish. Some of the background elements are pretty sketchy, detail-wise compared to the degree of finish on her eyes. The rectangular stones around the door and the tree limbs in particular look like you haven't finished rendering them yet.
The eyes look complete, and very well rendered and I think what needs to be done if you want to work on it more is to bring everything up to the level of finish of the eyes.
