Here is an fan-art of the rude, loud and obnoxious (although he's actually quite intelligent) Apeface from the fourth and final season of The Transformers. He was voiced by the late Dick Gautier, who also lent his voice to Firebolt, a Quintesson scientist and was the third voice of Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime.

As an Decepticon Horrorcon (a Triple Changer with a fighter jet alt-mode, an beast mode and a robot mode), Apeface could transform into either a fighter jet, a robotic gorilla or a robot, he was once an ordinary Transformer before he was binary-bonded to Spasma, with Spasma being able to become Apeface's robot mode head, while both his toys and the commercial for the Horrorcons depicted Spasma able to become Apeface's gorilla head as well, although "The Rebirth" eschewed the idea for Apeface still having his gorilla head in beast mode with his Nebulan partner separate from him. He is also the only character in the show to use the word "puke", and he also thinks that obnoxiousness is an art similar to how Rippersnapper views the Autobots as an error that Rippersnapper intends to correct.

In the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity however, his partner does not exist as a separate entity from him, with the large robot being just a lifeless Transtector body controlled entirely by the head unit. Although Apeface's head unit is still called "Spasma" when separated from the larger robot body, it's meant to be Apeface!
