18 February 1985, BBC Alba updates it's English-language presentation (including the globe) with them being redesigned to match BBC1's new look that launched at 7pm, with BBC Alba launching theirs at the same time. BBC Alba also finally adapted the computerised clock, but like with BBC1's 1985 national clock, the clock did not have a centre dot.
This look for the clock would survive BBC Alba's 1991 and 1997 rebrands (with the 1985 BBC Alba logo being replaced with the 1991 BBC Alba logo or the 1997 BBC Alba logo), where it was now used at all times along with the globe, rather than BBC Alba adapting the clockface from BBC1's and BBC2's 1991 clocks.
