I'm a Reagan loving conservative, but even I can see this is poking fun at the fact that a lot of Republicans tend to almost deify the man.

As an admirer of Reagan's, I adore this. Reagan restored American prestige on the world stage after the debacle in Vietnam, rebuilt the US military after years of neglect, led the economy out of the stagflation of the Carter years and brought the Soviet Union to its knees.Β

It was awful, and it's one of the biggest criticisms I have of his administration along with the Iran Contra scandal. No administration is without its blots and AIDS is probably Reagan's biggest.
