No, it's not. It's a funny thing when you are painting the flag on vehicles: you are meant to put it so it "flies" with the movement, so the stars should always face towards the front of the ship. Check out military vehicles in the US military, be it cars, planes, you name it

The best part is how, in the changed context, it's the last sentence that's an obvious lie.
