Quickie Dragonite redesign.Β
I always thought dragonite was cute⦠but not intimidating at all. Kinda like the Barney (meant in the nicest way possible even though I can't stand Barney) of the Pokemon world. I would rather run up and give it a hug than battle with it. In fact, the only time it looked intimidating at all was silhouetted in that one episode from season 1 with Bill and the lighthouse. Of course, it was also way too huge and got angry when it was shot by Team Rocket. Understandable.
Actually did this one yesterday, so this won't be part of the once a day arting thing. I'll label those clearly

I dunno, I like Dragonite as is, and Goodra essentially took its place as least threatening. Or is at the least tied.
I never seen the episodes, but in the anime during the b/w saga, one of the trainers, Iris or something I think, had a Dragonite that always looked a little angry/threatening and was rather no nonsense. One of those lessons the anime usually teaches, that Pokemon, like people, are individuals.

I like it too, actually. For whatever reason, I was thinking of Ash fighting the leader of the Orange League I think? Anyway, he had a dragonite, and it tried to look intimidating, but it was just too darn cute! Β I haven't seen the other episode you were talking about. Might be worth looking up.
