here we go as promised, I managed to get the rest of this done at the workshop to day,I appologise about the image my cheapo digital camera is not the best but I will endevour to produce a better image later on this week, thanks for looking. size A2Related content

The texture of the tree and background branches are gorgeous. Effective, concise and beautiful. It looks like you meant to clear the top right area and the lingering texture still printed. Someone of your skill level should be able to deal with that a little better. Blot it or something before printing. Otherwise a very lovely and well executed piece.

thanks this was the first big proof I got off I know what you mean about the corner for the finished ones I coverd this over with scrap paper so that was not a problem and then removed that area properly I will get round to updating this promise!

its A2 size a bit big but worth it luckly i have not got any more lino that size so it may be next year beore i do anything that big

I like the flow of the tree and the very effective lighting and texture against the flat tracery of branches in the background. The only part I have a problem with is the largely cleared area across the top quarter of the image; the marks don't convince me that it is either foliage or sky. Other than that, the rendering of texture and solidity is really impressive.

that true these are marks were the roller has placed the ink in the furrows from my removal process as this is a first proof, my next print I will rectify this

I've just spent three hours doing the same thing with my first linocut in 16 years: when the proof is dry I'll scan and post it.
