Description
Been a bit I know. Had a very brief moment to get an idea out of my head. A quick rundown of materials and then you can here the bullshit lies...er story behind itMaterials: Joint compound, ink, acrylics, pen, brush
I'm not even sure on where to begin so let's just roll with it all shall we?
Things haven't been going as planned in life and as I sit and dwell on them I only drag myself back into a hole of depression and continue to bury myself within the hole with more worry and more bullshit. The saying is true, "shit adds up at the bottom", also a great line by Tool. Anyway, everytime I get ahead and feel that things might start to look up, something else happens and more shit is added to my surround quicksand like pile that I seem to enjoy so much that I won't try and remove myself from it. It's enough to give someone a headache, or moreso an aneurysm. At least with the aneurysm I can no longer have to worry about the depression, the fear, or the sense of hopelessness that I've been feeling as of late. Am I the only one who feels this way? I doubt it, nor do I feel my situation is any worse than the next person, but I just feel the need to vent it in a less harmless way.....

I know bad things happen to people who shouldn't have to deal with it, but I know things will turn good for you, you aren't alone

You described my depression perfectly. Props for that. I also love all the symbolism in your art. Now, good sir, Iยดm going to watch you.

This looks like Lady GaGa's creepy demon mask. It covers her face in red and has like a 34-inch tall spiky red crown attached to the mask.
Anyway kickass painting. I love the way his fingers are done.

Yeah i maybe behind on the comment and fave but I know what you mean. I find the best way to deal with it is find little ways to brainwash yourself away from it. Temporary yes but a hell of a lot better than working it out...I do the same thing with the sitting there when surely there is something I could do about it my mind however will just shoot down anything i come up with.

First, I honestly have to say I hope that you can find a way to maintain you and still get out of that hole. I phrase it that way because sometimes changing oneself to get out of things can make it worse.
Second, the textures in this are great. I really like the brush strokes (?) that make the outline.

I completely understand what you're going through. You get one foot out of hell and something [or someone in my cae] reaches up to try to pull you back in.
I really like this.
...joint compound? I would have never thought to use that. I bet creates great textures easily.

It's awesome for texture. But cracks a little when put on weak ass canvas.

Have you ever used masonite? Or just regular wood from a hardware store?

I've used wood before from home depot and cabinet doors but not masonite. I've heard great things about masonite too.

Just make sure not to get the thinnnest measure of masonite (I can't remember the inches exactly), because it will become weak as well. I like masonite but it's still a judgement call on whether you think it will look better on canvas or wood.
Good luck.
Oh, if you use masonaite, be sure to secure the back of it with 1x2's.
okay, I'll shut up now.

Lou Tice said that humans are teological beings; that we move towards what we are focusing on. Try to focus a bit more on optimistic things.
