Almost all of my designs can be put on tshirts. If you go to my site you can see more of my designs. Plus if you'd rather deal with me on purchasing artwork, just email me.

As for this design, I needed a good reference shot in a certain position and since it's a bitch to find that perfect position, I just took a pic of myself.

A lot of people referenced it to Christ which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But my intentions were more based on just the crucifixion position in general. And how at this position we are vulnerable to an attack. If that helps clear anything up.

It reminds ME of Negative Jesus. Nothing like black halos.

personally, i believe in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ; all in all, your piece really delivers the message of agony and captures the emotion of such a gruesome death. beautiful work~

One thing that has really drawn me into your gallery is your use of symmetry. Not all art should, of course, or else we run the risk of repetition and monotony, but you've used it in interesting and, at times, subtle ways. Artwork that makes proper use of this technique can draw the viewers in so much more, since the piece is already resonant with meaning, it actually resonates (to run the risk of over-using the word) with itself. Having that kind of reciprocal nature to an artwork is something that makes me unable to take my eyes from it.

I must admit, I hadn't though of the actual religious "crucifix" when I first saw this... that coming from a life-long church-raised Christian. What really drew my eyes to and around (and around) this piece were the spirals of tribal-like symbols. The play of B&W tones there tricks the eye, and the tapering adds a sense of depth, especially on the head where this effect is doubled.
While we're on the subject of the crucifix... I think it's interesting how those spirals could be reminiscent of halos. Yet the one inside the head almost looks like an abyss, changing the view of the others in my mind.
The hand position also calls my attention. The arms appear like a crucifix, yes, but the hands and fingers are almost formed like a "gun" shape, and that adds an interesting dynamic of thought to this, even if unintentional.
Just to briefly end this (once again) unnaturally long comment... I like the almost scratch-like additions of black designs on the arms, and the way the amorphous flow from the hands and torso seems almost blood-like, but again there is a lack of clichΓ© in that it is black, and follows the title's feeling of defilement in seeming a dirty stream.

I may tap you to write my autobiography lol. Very well depicted and I love reading your comments as much as you like looking at my art. A good pair I do believe.

Well, I think it's that accurate as your comment. Christ died for our sins and life, and the torture he underwent mutilated him.

Looking forward to the shirt.

I see a religious connection, but more of one towards spiritual unity and meditation. I think it's the chosen pose and the symmetry of it that makes that connection prevelant for me. But amazing work man, truly epic.

Nice idea... but IDK, something about the picture makes the torso appear overly-thick... Perhaps it's the small darkened-area where the head would go. (Maybe if the darkened-area was larger, the torso would look thinner?)

But it isn't MY picture, so it's not really my business.

Depending on one's particular anatomy, it's still logical for one's torso to be 1.5-2x the width of the head. I think what may be throwing off some of this is the absence of ears... but I still think it follows.

generally, if your arms are out like that, it reminds people of the crucification of jesus. such a recognizable pose.

it reminds me of jesus as well, especially with the halo like shapes behind the head and hands, and the blood like substances issuing from them, and thats why i love this piece.

i like catholic art. its usually morbid. but thats catholicism for ya hahaha
