Some more acrylic abominations. This is a massive 2 by 4 foot piece of Home Depot wood that begged for some paint. Behind it, my faux fireplace and dragon thingy.Being disturbed as we all are, my perceptions of angels may be slightly different then what most would view them as.
These angelic beings have no emotions, as well as many known human features. to accomplish their roles as protectors of meat bags, they must remain deprived of emotion to insure the safety of their particular human.
As humans who only know wrong and right,therefore we might view an incident of an angel convincing a father to commit suicide rather than to spend the night drinking and to stumble into his daughter's room to molest and beat her. These decisions would be hard for anyone or thing with a conscious awareness of emotion. This is why we have these guardian angels.

I really like your traditional work. The colors you used are great, and awesome anatomy. Who's to say that angels aren't the way you described. It would make sense. I find them very interesting.

not that it matters but i never think of angels as protectors of humanity
i believe that if the father wants to commit suicide than he will, but if he wants to go molest and beat his daughter that is his decision
its not another beings job to judge a situation and make the decision for the father
im not sure if you just wanted to take an alternative view of the "guardian angels" but that is my stupid opinion ^__^

I dont think them heartless. I belive the ability to un-biasly decide the true good, and not question it based upon whether or not it makes them happy makes them truley loving spirits.
