They are stitched, yes.

It's late to comment on why his mouth is stitched but its some backstory I can't remember, this guy was developed for school stuff a year or two ago..

Awesome! I love the design of the swamp lizard, and all of the details with his weapons and accessories. One of my favorite things about this dude is the fact that, despite his many sharp body parts and fierce weapons, his eye seems to have an intelligent and reasonable soul looking out.
