YESSS, I got it a few days ago! Awesome job!

The pages where the Phantom is firing both his pistols at once reminded me of a similar and awesome!) scene the 1996 movie - especially the one where he's shooting cross-body!

I'm loving Moonstone's look inside the Phantom Chronicles, and also the 'regular' Ghost Who Walks book. Still don't understand why they did a re-launch of the main series exactly as I didn't notice anything different continuity-wise from the first Moonstone series. IE, it's the Phantom of the strip (with Diana, Heloise and Kit Jr) but set in present day...

Ah well, 'sall good!

And I also loved the Billy Zane movie! I'm more than a little terrified at what Sy Fy is going to do to the Phantom....:screwed:

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.I really liked the movie in that it reminded of the old serials. So I watched again when I was working on the book. The cross armed shooting was my homage to the movie.

Yeah the new series...who knows?

THE PHANTOM! Sweet! And here I thought the market for pulp fiction heroes was dead.

Proof that even a Billy Zane movie can't kill the Ghost Who Walks

Hey- that Phantom movie ROCKED! Billy Zane was great as the phantom- and that was Patrick McGoohan's last movie role! And the chase sequence from New York to Africa- STILL one of the best chase sequences ever done!

The movie suffered from lukewarm response by the critics, compunded by the fact that the Phantom is a mostly unknown hero in todays jaded CGI Batman centric culture. I really hoped there would be a sequel!

And I did like the movie. I based my Phantom in the book on Billy Zane.

But pulp heroes suffer in today's market.

Because Nobody even reads! Nobody reads pulp stuff anymore. Kids these days think it was invented by Tarantino! I grew up reading pulps regurigtated into sci fi adventuere novels of the 60s. Tarzan, Conan,Doc Savage. i recently started reading the pulp adventures of the Spider. But he is hard to find any books of his in print.

Moonstone has a few pulp characters that they do. I have no idea how they sell.
